Outlook Express / 2003 / 2007:
1. In Outlook Express / 2003 / 2007, go to the 'Tools' tab, 'Account Settings'.
2. Select the email account you want to check or edit [so it becomes highlighted blue] and click Change on the row above
3. You'll now see the Internet E-mail Settings screen. From here you can
check and edit any of the settings for your email account
- Server Information:
- Account Type: POP3 / IMAP [Select IMAP]
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.YOURDOMAIN.com
- Outgoing Mail Server: mail.YOURDOMAIN.com
- Incoming Mail Server
- User Name: user@YOURDOMAIN.com
- Password: ********
- Remember Password (tick this)
- Log on using Secure Password Authentication (DO NOT TICK THIS)
- Click 'More Settings' and go to 'Outgoing Server'
- My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication [X]
- Use same settings as my incoming mail server [X]
- Click 'Ok' and click 'Test Account Settings'; this will logon to incoming mail server and attempt to send a test message.
Outlook 2010 / 2013 / 2016:
1. In Outlook 2010 / 2013 / 2016, go to the 'File', 'Info' and 'Account Settings'.
2. Select the email account you want to check or edit [so it becomes highlighted blue] and click Change on the row above
3. You'll now see the Internet E-mail Settings screen. From here you can
check and edit any of the settings for your email account
- Server Information:
- Account Type: POP3 / IMAP [Select IMAP]
