Introduction
If your Wi-Fi networks are not showing up, check the LED on the access point and then contact support if needed. The access points are fixed in the wall, so you cannot reboot them or check the cables yourself.
Issue description
This article applies when available Wi-Fi networks are missing or not appearing as expected. Because the access points are wall-mounted, the only check you can do yourself is to look at the LED status on the access point.
Signs
- No Wi-Fi networks are visible on your device.
- The access point is powered on, but the network is not appearing.
- The LED on the access point is not showing the expected white light.
LED status checks
Check the LED on the access point and note the colour or pattern you can see. A steady white LED usually means the access point is working normally. If the LED is off, flashing, or showing a different colour, this may indicate a problem that needs support review.
What to do next
If the Wi-Fi networks are still not visible, or if the LED does not look right, contact NorthwestIP Support Centre & Tech Triage for help. Please describe the LED status you can see so support can investigate further.
Additional information
When you contact support, have the access point location and a description of the LED status ready. This can help speed up troubleshooting.
